Xiaomi has unveiled its first portable coffee maker under the Mijia brand. The new device offers a compact espresso solution for travelers, campers and office users.
Designed for convenience, the Mijia Portable Coffee Machine combines portability with espresso-making capabilities. Its flask-like design allows users to carry it easily during outdoor activities.
The machine measures 24.5 centimetres in height and 7.15 centimetres in width. Xiaomi designed it to fit comfortably inside backpacks and vehicle cup holders.
Additionally, the device features an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. This protection makes it suitable for light outdoor use and travel.
Compact Design With Powerful Brewing
The brewing chamber is fully detachable, making cleaning simple after each use. Xiaomi also includes a carrying case, metal coffee basket, scoop and stainless steel cup.
The coffee machine uses a 20-bar electromagnetic pump for espresso extraction. Users can prepare coffee using either capsules or freshly ground beans.
For temperature control, Xiaomi has integrated a ceramic heating element and PID technology. The system maintains water temperature at 92 degrees Celsius during brewing.
Furthermore, the machine supports both hot and cold coffee extraction. A standard brewing cycle takes approximately 45 seconds to complete.
Battery Supports Up to 400 Cups
The device is powered by three 2,500mAh batteries, providing a combined capacity of 7,500mAh. It charges through a 45W USB-C connection.
According to Xiaomi, charging from 20 percent to 80 percent takes around 30 minutes. A full recharge requires approximately 80 minutes.
When users add pre-heated water, the machine can produce up to 400 cups on a single charge. In this mode, the battery powers only the extraction pump.
However, battery performance drops significantly when heating room-temperature water internally. In that scenario, the machine can brew slightly more than three cups per charge.
The Mijia Portable Coffee Machine carries a retail price of 799 yuan, or about $118. Sales will begin in China through crowdfunding platforms on June 17.
