The Sindh College Education Department has reduced college timings by one hour with immediate effect. The department issued a circular on September 9 announcing the revised schedule.
The new timings will remain effective until further orders during the five-day college week. However, all other terms and directions from the previous circular will remain unchanged.
Morning Shift Timings Revised
Under the revised schedule, morning-shift colleges will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. from Monday to Thursday. Meanwhile, Friday classes will run from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The department has instructed educational institutions to follow the new schedule strictly. Principals must ensure that faculty and students follow the revised timings.
Authorities Ordered to Ensure Compliance
The department has also directed concerned field officers to monitor implementation. Furthermore, relevant authorities must circulate the revised schedule among all colleges.
The move will reduce daily college hours by one hour under the updated timetable. However, the department has not announced any changes to other instructions issued through its previous circular.
The revised timings will remain applicable until the department issues further orders. Therefore, colleges across Sindh must immediately adjust their academic schedules accordingly.
Officials have emphasized strict compliance with the latest instructions. College principals and field officers will remain responsible for ensuring the schedule reaches all concerned institutions.
