Peace agreement between the United States and Iran could be signed within days, Iran’s foreign minister announced. Moreover, he said both sides would initially sign the agreement remotely. The announcement raised hopes for ending months of tensions between both countries.
Negotiations Enter Final Stage
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said negotiators had nearly completed the agreement’s final stages. He explained both parties would digitally sign the memorandum before making a public announcement. Furthermore, Araghchi expressed confidence that the process could conclude within the coming days.ย
However, he declined to reveal additional details before final approval. He warned that premature disclosures could threaten the agreement’s successful completion. Therefore, Tehran plans to release complete information only after both governments officially sign the document.
Earlier, Araghchi described the proposed Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding as the closest breakthrough yet. The framework aims to end the conflict that began on February 28.ย
Consequently, officials believe diplomatic efforts have reached a decisive moment. Iran hopes the agreement will establish lasting stability after months of hostilities.
Iran Warns Against Israeli Interference
Meanwhile, Araghchi warned that Israel could attempt to derail the peace process. He claimed the Zionist regime was seeking excuses to sabotage ongoing negotiations. However, he insisted Tehran remained committed to completing the agreement despite external challenges.
On Thursday, US President Donald Trump announced he had cancelled planned strikes against Iran. Additionally, Trump claimed both countries could soon finalize a peace agreement. His remarks strengthened expectations that negotiations may conclude successfully. Nevertheless, officials from both sides continue reviewing the agreement before its formal announcement. Diplomats expect the remote signing process to mark an important step toward restoring regional stability.
