Referring to Iran, Trump claimed Tehran wanted to settle its differences with Washington. He also said the United States had given Iran “a week off” from negotiations during the funeral period. However, he did not provide further details about the reported pause in talks.
Trump also referred to recent US actions involving Iran and Venezuela during his address. Nevertheless, he did not announce any new developments regarding negotiations between Washington and Tehran.
