New Training Facilities Launched Across Lahore
Lahore Traffic Police has expanded its driving training services by establishing five dedicated scooty training schools across the city.
The initiative aims to improve road safety and help students and women gain confidence through professional riding and licensing training.
The new scooty training centres are located at Abshar Driving School, Liberty Khidmat Markaz, Greater Iqbal Park, Traffic Police Lines Manawan and LOS Ferozepur Road.
The LOS Ferozepur Road facility provides free scooty riding training exclusively for women.
Women-Focused Training and Licensing Support
Lahore Traffic Police has introduced a Women-to-Women service at these training schools to provide a comfortable learning environment for female trainees.
The department said female instructors and dedicated support services help women learn driving skills with greater ease and confidence.
Along with scooty training, 12 driving schools across Lahore are also providing car driving lessons to citizens.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi said the department is working to empower women through professional driving education and easier access to licensing facilities.
He added that thousands of women have already completed driving training through Lahore Traffic Police schools.
Over 172,000 Motorcycle Licenses Issued
To support young riders, Lahore Traffic Police has also established Gen-Z Scooty Counters at licensing centres.
These counters provide guidance to students applying for scooty and motorcycle licenses.
Applicants are required to bring their CNIC, Form-B and a parent or guardian during the licensing process.
The department has issued more than 172,000 motorcycle licenses and 6,546 juvenile permits so far.
Officials said the new training facilities are part of efforts to promote safe driving practices and increase mobility opportunities for women and young riders in Lahore.
