Pakistan’s security forces eliminated 21 more Indian-sponsored Khwarij terrorists during operations in North Waziristan. The successful intelligence-based operations continued over the past 72 hours.
According to the ISPR, the total number of terrorists killed has reached 48. Security forces conducted multiple operations around Miran Shah and nearby areas.
Officials said troops engaged several terrorist hideouts during the latest intelligence-driven missions. Consequently, fierce exchanges of fire took place across different locations.
Operations Target Key Terrorist Leaders
The ISPR said security forces killed four wanted ring leaders during the operations. They included Khalid Raza alias Salar, Muftoon, Musa, and Imran alias Ayan.
Officials stated the slain commanders played key roles in numerous terrorist attacks. They allegedly targeted security personnel and innocent civilians across the region.
Moreover, troops recovered weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists. Authorities said the militants actively participated in several acts of terrorism.
Counter-Terrorism Campaign Continues
The military described the operations as highly skilled and precisely executed. Furthermore, officials said the latest success dealt a significant blow to terrorist networks.
Security forces will continue sanitisation operations throughout affected areas. They aim to eliminate remaining militants hiding in North Waziristan.
The ISPR reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to its ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under the Azm-e-Istehkam strategy. Authorities vowed to continue operations against foreign-sponsored terrorism nationwide.
