The federal government has announced a series of senior bureaucratic appointments, transfers, retirements and deputations. The Establishment Division issued multiple notifications covering several ministries and departments. Consequently, the changes mark a significant administrative reshuffle within the federal bureaucracy.
Senior Appointments and Retirements Announced
Climate Change Division Secretary Ayesha Humaira Chaudhry received voluntary premature retirement. She will join the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) as a member for three years.
The Prime Minister approved her retirement from July 1, 2026. She will assume her new responsibilities at the FPSC on the same date.
Meanwhile, the government cancelled the appointment of retired Grade-22 officer Aizaz Aslam Dar as an FPSC member. The Establishment Division declared the earlier notification null and void.
The Prime Minister also accepted the resignation of Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi from the Ministry of Information Technology. His resignation became effective from April 30, 2026.
Qureshi resigned to become Chairman of the Social Media Complaints Council under the Ministry of Interior. However, he will continue holding additional charge as Member (Legal), Ministry of IT, for three months.
Transfers and Deputations Across Departments
The government extended Jamil Ahmed Qureshi’s additional charge as Secretary, Board of Investment, for another three months. He will continue serving alongside his responsibilities in the Special Investment Facilitation Council Division.
Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary Qazi Imranuddin retired from the Ministry of Industries and Production on June 11, 2026. Additionally, Zahid Pervez was regularised in Grade-19 and will continue serving under the Punjab government.
Several deputation and transfer orders were also issued. Noshirwan Khan joined the Ministry of Human Rights on a three-year deputation. Similarly, Tabinda Jalot was deputed to the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council for three years.
Furthermore, Section Officer Asad Hussain Malik transferred from the Establishment Division to the Religious Affairs Division. The Establishment Division confirmed notifications for all administrative changes.
