ISLAMABAD: Law enforcement agencies have arrested 24 suspects across Pakistan after disclosures made by alleged drug trafficker Anmol alias Pinky, widely referred to by investigators as the โCocaine Queen,โ exposed a large narcotics network operating from Karachi to Lahore.
According to investigators, 11 African nationals were among those arrested for allegedly smuggling cocaine into Pakistan and supplying it to Pinky. Officials claimed the suspects had married Pakistani women to facilitate their illegal operations. Authorities carried out raids and arrests in Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Kasur as the investigation widened.
Meanwhile, Karachiโs City Court remanded Pinky into police custody until May 22 in connection with more than 12 registered cases and directed investigators to submit a progress report at the next hearing. During her court appearance on Saturday, Pinky alleged that police had forced her to give statements and fabricated cases against her. However, the investigating officer strongly denied the accusations.
Speaking at a press conference, Additional IGP Karachi Azad Khan revealed that investigators recovered 869 phone numbers from Pinkyโs mobile phone and traced transactions worth Rs30 million through one bank account. He added that eight of nine motorcycle riders linked to the network belonged to Punjab, while police had requested that four major suspects be placed on the Exit Control List.
Investigators further alleged that the network used female motorcycle riders and digital payment channels to distribute cocaine while avoiding surveillance. Authorities also claimed Pinkyโs brothers were involved in the operation and alleged she managed cocaine processing and launched her own narcotics brand.
Police records showed Pinky had previously been arrested in Karachi in 2018 and Lahore in 2024 but allegedly avoided major legal consequences due to influence and financial connections. Officials now expect more arrests as investigations continue nationwide.
