The first exhibition of the series was held in Dhaka. Moreover, additional events are scheduled in Barishal, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Chittagong, and Rangpur over the next 10 days.
Around 20 leading Pakistani universities are participating in these exhibitions. They are showcasing academic programs, research opportunities, and scholarship pathways for Bangladeshi students.
The initiative focuses on expanding access to higher education in Pakistan. It also promotes long-term academic collaboration between institutions in both countries.
Strengthening the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor
The Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor is designed to promote educational exchange and research partnerships. It also aims to enhance people-to-people connections through academic cooperation.
Officials stated that the program encourages student mobility and institutional linkages. In addition, it supports joint academic projects between universities.
High-Level Participation in Dhaka Event
The education expo in Dhaka was inaugurated by Bangladeshโs Education Minister Dr. A. N. M. Ehsanul Hoque Milon.
Several dignitaries attended the opening ceremony, including Pakistanโs High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider and HEC representatives.
During the event, Dr. Milon praised the efforts behind the Knowledge Corridor initiative. He said the program is strengthening academic cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
He also encouraged Bangladeshi students to apply for scholarships and benefit from international learning opportunities.

Officials highlighted that Pakistani universities are expanding research capacity. Therefore, they can offer competitive academic programs for international students.
The expos aim to present these opportunities directly to students across Bangladesh.
Scholarship Opportunities for Bangladeshi Students
Under the initiative, Pakistan is offering 500 fully-funded scholarships. These scholarships are part of the Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship Program.
The program allows Bangladeshi students to pursue higher education in top Pakistani universities. It also covers a wide range of academic disciplines.
A senior HEC official Aayesha Ikram explained that the initiative strengthens educational cooperation. She said it focuses on scholarships, academic exchange, and institutional partnerships.
Growing Academic Collaboration Between Two Countries
The Knowledge Corridor initiative also includes training programs for Bangladeshi civil servants. This adds a professional development dimension to the education partnership.
Earlier, the first series of exhibitions was held in 2025 across multiple Bangladeshi cities. That phase helped establish initial academic linkages.
Now, the second phase aims to deepen cooperation and expand student participation.
Early Success of Scholarship Program
So far, 74 Bangladeshi students have already started studying in Pakistan. They are enrolled in universities across multiple disciplines.
These include Engineering, Medical Sciences, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and Biological Sciences.
Officials describe this as an important milestone in bilateral educational cooperation.
