Pakistan has granted a No Objection Certificate to the Indian volleyball team for the Central Asian Volleyball Championship. The decision marks a positive step toward regional sporting engagement. The tournament will take place in Islamabad later this month.
Indian Team Cleared for Islamabad Tournament
The Central Asian Volleyball Championship will run from July 22 to July 29 in Islamabad. The Central Asian Volleyball Association will organize the regional competition. Pakistan expects several teams to participate in the tournament.
Pakistan Volleyball Federation Chairman Chaudhry Yaqoob confirmed that the government had issued the required NOC. He said Indian authorities had formally received the decision. Moreover, he expressed hope that the Indian team would travel to Pakistan for the event.
Yaqoob added that organizers had completed all preparations for the championship. Therefore, officials are ready to welcome participating teams from across the region. The event is expected to attract strong regional competition.
Championship to Feature Regional Teams
The tournament is likely to include teams from Pakistan, India, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Kyrgyzstan. Additionally, other regional sides may also participate. Officials expect the competition to showcase high-quality volleyball throughout the week.
