Medical staff who served at Parliament House during the 2025 budget session will receive an additional payment equal to five months of their basic salary.
The decision was shared with the Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue during its latest meeting.
Committee members were informed that the Finance Minister approved the payment on Thursday.
The approval covers employees whose names were included in the list submitted by the committee.
The additional compensation is linked to services performed by medical personnel during the parliamentary budget session.
Finance Minister Approves Additional Payment
The Senate committee was briefed that the long-pending payment request had now received approval from the Finance Minister.
Eligible medical workers will receive an amount equivalent to five months of their basic salary.

Members are expected to continue monitoring the matter until the additional salaries are transferred to eligible staff.
