ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission has introduced a fully online and paperless Degree Attestation System (DAS), allowing students and graduates across Pakistan to apply for degree attestation services without visiting HEC offices.
Under the new system, applicants can submit attestation requests at any time through the official HEC e-Services Portal
. The initiative aims to simplify the attestation process and improve accessibility for students nationwide.
According to HEC, the attestation fee has been fixed at Rs3,000 per document. The fee applies to degrees, transcripts, provisional certificates and HEC equivalence letters. Applicants can pay the required charges through the 1-Link (1-Bill) system after the portal automatically generates a consumer number.
To begin the process, new users must create an account on the portal, while existing users can log in using their registered credentials. Applicants are required to provide personal information, including full name, fatherโs name, date of birth, gender, marital status and residential address. HEC advised applicants to ensure that details on their CNIC and academic documents match exactly.
The system also requires users to enter complete academic records from matriculation to higher qualifications. Applicants must provide information regarding degree titles, duration, session, campus and registration or roll numbers.
In addition, users can select the specific documents they wish to get attested, including degrees, transcripts, provisional certificates and equivalence letters. The portal automatically calculates the total fee based on the selected documents.
Applicants must upload scanned copies of their CNIC, academic certificates and transcripts along with any additional supporting documents if required. After submission, HEC verifies details through the National Database and Registration Authority and relevant universities before conducting a final review and issuing the electronic attestation certificate.
