Several young men have been accused of targeting women and girls over a prolonged period through alleged manipulation and blackmail. According to a report published by Punjab Post, five individuals allegedly operated a network that victimised young women over the past three years.
The report claims the suspects approached women under the pretext of friendship and romantic interest. Investigators believe they gained trust through emotional bonding. The suspects allegedly recorded private conversations and collected personal images and videos without consent.
Authorities estimate that at least 25 women may have been affected. The report further states that more than 3,000 audio recordings, photographs, and video clips are involved in the case. Officials are still verifying the scale of the material and the number of victims.
One alleged victim, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the suspects built emotional relationships before secretly recording personal conversations. She claimed the group later used those recordings to apply pressure. The suspects allegedly forced victims to meet in private locations.
During these meetings, the suspects reportedly obtained additional compromising material. Victims said the group used this content for continued blackmail and control. The pressure allegedly continued over long periods.
Another woman told investigators that the suspects threatened to release her videos on social media. She said they showed her videos they claimed involved another victim. The suspects allegedly used these videos to intimidate her into meeting their demands.
The allegations have raised serious concerns about digital exploitation and online safety. Law enforcement officials are examining the evidence and gathering statements from affected individuals. Authorities have urged potential victims to come forward and seek legal protection as the investigation continues.
