Islamabad Police arrested four women on Saturday for allegedly impersonating magistrates and conducting fake inspection raids. The suspects reportedly targeted shops and restaurants before collecting illegal fines from business owners.
According to police, the women carried out their activities within the jurisdiction of Tarnol Police Station. Authorities have registered a case and launched further investigations into the incident.
Suspects Allegedly Conducted Fake Raids
Police said one of the suspects, identified as Raheela, introduced herself as a magistrate during the raids. Meanwhile, the remaining three women accompanied her and assisted in the operation.
Investigators said the group visited three restaurants and collected fines by falsely claiming official authority. Consequently, business owners reportedly complied with their demands.
Police Register Case Against Accused
Police officers moved to arrest the suspects after receiving information about their activities. However, the women allegedly attempted to flee when officers approached them. Authorities eventually apprehended all four suspects.
Following the arrests, police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused. They also shifted the women to the women’s police station for further legal proceedings. Meanwhile, investigators continue examining the case to determine whether the group targeted additional businesses.
