Two Pakistani nationals who were reportedly abducted in Iran have been recovered safely, according to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The rescued individuals have reached the Pakistani Embassy in Tehran, while authorities continue investigating suspected human trafficking and searching for other missing Pakistanis.
The recovery was carried out through coordinated efforts involving the FIA’s Link Office in Iran.
Rescued Pakistanis Reach Embassy in Tehran
The FIA identified the rescued individuals as Talha and Shehzad, both residents of Paseen village in Lahore.
Following their recovery, the two men were taken to the Pakistani Embassy in Tehran, where officials are providing the necessary assistance before facilitating their return to Pakistan.
FIA Credits Coordinated Recovery Effort
According to an FIA spokesperson, the successful recovery resulted from joint efforts led by FIA Director General Dr. Usman Anwar and the FIA Link Office in Iran.
Authorities worked closely with relevant agencies to ensure the safe rescue of the two Pakistani nationals.
Human Trafficking Investigation Expands
The FIA has intensified its investigation into the suspected human trafficking network linked to the case.
As part of the inquiry, authorities arrested Taj Muhammad, the father of an alleged human trafficking agent identified as Amir Bhobhla.
Additionally, officials have nominated five individuals in three separate First Information Reports (FIRs) registered during the investigation.
Search Continues for Other Missing Pakistanis
The FIA confirmed that efforts remain underway to trace other Pakistani citizens who are reportedly missing in Iran.
Authorities stated they are working with relevant institutions to locate the missing individuals and ensure their safe return to Pakistan. The investigation into the suspected human trafficking network also continues as officials seek to identify and apprehend everyone involved.
