Gold prices in Pakistan declined for a second consecutive day on Saturday, following a modest drop in international bullion rates.
The latest decrease offered slight relief to buyers after sharp fluctuations in recent sessions.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs600 to settle at Rs476,262.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold declined by Rs515, bringing it down to Rs408,317.
Gold Prices in Pakistan Today
Here are the latest gold rates in the local market:
| Gold Type | Latest Price | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Per Tola (24K) | Rs476,262 | -Rs600 |
| 10 Grams (24K) | Rs408,317 | -Rs515 |
The latest decline comes one day after a much larger correction in the domestic market.
On Friday, gold prices per tola dropped by Rs15,500 to close at Rs476,862.
International Gold Prices Edge Lower
Global gold prices also moved lower, which influenced rates in Pakistan.
In the international market, the price of gold fell by $6 per ounce to $4,539, including a $20 premium.
Although the decline was modest, it was enough to push local prices down once again.
Because Pakistanโs bullion market closely follows global trends and currency movements, even small changes in international prices can affect domestic rates.
Silver Prices Also Decline
Silver prices in Pakistan also recorded a notable decrease.
The price of silver per tola dropped by Rs159 to reach Rs8,073.
This decline reflects the broader softness in precious metals during the day.
What the Latest Decline Means for Buyers
Gold remains a preferred investment and savings option for many Pakistanis.
Therefore, even a small decrease attracts attention from investors, jewellers and families planning weddings.
While Saturdayโs decline was relatively modest, it extended the downward trend that began with Fridayโs sharp correction.
If international prices continue to soften, local rates may remain under pressure in the coming days.
For now, however, gold continues to trade at historically elevated levels despite the recent pullback.
