The Swat District Administration has launched a crackdown on illegal zipline operations at several popular tourist destinations.
Working alongside the Swat Development Authority, officials sealed multiple ziplines after inspections found they lacked the required No Objection Certificates (NoCs).
The operation forms part of broader efforts to improve tourist safety and strengthen regulatory compliance across adventure tourism facilities.
Inspection Targets Major Tourist Attractions
The joint inspection covered several well-known tourist locations across Swat.
Authorities inspected zipline facilities operating in Mahodand, Saifullah Lake, Chashma Shafa Aabshar, and other tourist destinations.
During the inspections, officials found that several operators had failed to obtain the mandatory approvals required before offering zipline services.
As a result, authorities sealed the facilities immediately.
Operators Ordered to Meet Legal Requirements
Officials directed all affected operators not to restart their services until they fulfill every legal requirement. In addition, operators must obtain the necessary No Objection Certificates before reopening.
Authorities also instructed them to comply with all prescribed safety and security standards. The administration emphasized that public safety remains the highest priority for tourism-related activities.
Focus Remains on Tourist Safety
Adventure tourism continues to attract thousands of visitors to Swat every year. Therefore, authorities are increasing inspections to ensure recreational facilities operate within the law.
Officials believe proper licensing and safety compliance are essential for protecting visitors and maintaining confidence in tourist attractions.
Consequently, inspections will continue at various locations across the district.
Crackdown Aims to Strengthen Safety Standards
The recent enforcement action reflects the district administration’s ongoing commitment to safer tourism.
Authorities stated that all adventure activities must operate under approved legal procedures and established safety guidelines.
Only operators meeting these requirements will be allowed to resume services.
Meanwhile, officials urged tourism businesses to secure the necessary approvals before offering recreational activities to the public.
The administration reaffirmed that similar inspections will continue to ensure tourist destinations remain safe, regulated, and fully compliant with applicable laws.
