BAGHDAD: US President Donald Trump is set to host Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi at the White House in mid-July, according to a joint announcement issued by the Iraqi prime ministerโs office and the US Embassy in Baghdad.

According to a statement released on Tuesday, US Special Presidential Envoy Tom Barrack conveyed President Trumpโs invitation to Prime Minister al-Zaidi during meetings in Baghdad.
โPresident Trump looks forward to welcoming Prime Minister Al-Zaidi to the White House in mid-July to discuss the future of this important relationship,โ the statement said.
