Schools Directed to Hold Monthly Student Programs
The Sindh School Education Department has issued the co-curricular activities calendar for private schools for the academic year 2026-27.
The calendar sets a month-wise plan for student activities across the province.
Private schools have been directed to follow the schedule and ensure active student participation.
The department said the activities are designed to support character building, creativity, awareness, discipline, and national identity among students.
The calendar includes national days, awareness campaigns, competitions, exhibitions, sports events, and cultural programs.
Schools will begin major activities in August. Special programs will be organized to mark Independence Day. Schools will also hold events for the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, a tree plantation campaign, and a cleanliness drive.
Competitions, National Days, and Awareness Drives Included
In September, private schools will organize Defense Day programs.
Students will also take part in speech, essay writing, and painting competitions. These activities are aimed at improving confidence, communication skills, and creative expression.
In October, schools will hold events for Teachersโ Day and Kashmir Black Day.
In November, schools will mark Allama Iqbal Day. They will also organize science exhibitions, stage performances, and Childrenโs Day activities.
In December, private schools will celebrate Cultural Day. The month will focus on regional identity, traditions, and student participation in cultural programs.
January will include Studentsโ Week. Schools will also conduct anti-bullying awareness sessions to promote safer learning spaces.
Sports, Climate Awareness, and Creative Events Planned
The calendar also includes Kashmir Solidarity Day activities in February.
Schools will run an anti-drug awareness campaign during the same month. A Sports Gala will also be organized to promote physical fitness and teamwork among students.
In March, schools will observe Pakistan Day and arrange flower shows.
April will focus on climate change awareness. Students will take part in activities linked to environmental protection and sustainability.
In May, private schools will organize seminars, creative competitions, and national song programs. These events will be connected to national thanksgiving activities.
The education department has instructed all private schools to implement the calendar properly.
Officials said co-curricular activities play an important role in student development. They help students build leadership, teamwork, confidence, and social awareness beyond regular classroom learning.
