Selena Gomez is facing a new legal battle over Wondermind, the mental health company she co-founded with her mother and former business partner.
Investors have sued Gomez, Mandy Teefey, Daniella Pierson and Wondermind in Delaware, alleging misleading claims about the company’s financial position.
The investors say they invested nearly $1.2 million in Wondermind in 2022 after receiving assurances about its growth prospects.
They claim the company appeared to have sufficient funding, staff and support to become a successful mental health business.
However, the investors allege that several promised partnerships never materialised and that Wondermind failed to develop a planned application.
They are seeking the return of their investment, additional damages and legal expenses.
Gomez Rejects Allegations
Meanwhile, Gomez’s lawyer Mathew S. Rosengart has strongly rejected the allegations against the singer and actress.
Rosengart described the claims as “completely meritless” and said Gomez would vigorously defend herself against the allegations.
Her legal team has also asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit.
The case adds to existing challenges facing Wondermind, which reportedly reduced most of its small workforce in 2025.
Some former employees had also alleged that they went unpaid for several weeks during the company’s difficulties.
Now, the lawsuit has created another major challenge for Wondermind as the investors seek financial compensation.
For Gomez, the legal dispute remains ongoing, with her lawyers preparing to contest the claims in court.
The case will now move forward as both sides present their arguments and evidence to the Delaware court.
