Elon Musk Hires Man who Lied Being Fired from Twitter
Elon Musk hired a man who faked being fired from Twitter during the initial round of layoffs.
When the first round of layoffs took place at Twitter’s headquarters, Daniel Francis and Rahul Ligma claimed that were fired and left their positions. They were later found to have never worked for the company.
Musk, being Musk, hired one of them for his company even though this kind of fake news could have easily infuriated a CEO. Francis is now listed as a Twitter employee even though Ligma and Francis attempted to spread false information about the company.
Musk, who appeared to enjoy the prank, posted a photo with Francis and his friend on November 15 and invited them to Twitter HQ in San Francisco.
“Welcome back Ligma & Johnson,” Elon Musk wrote. He added: “It’s important to admit mistakes when I make them, and I really did fire them, one of the biggest mistakes.” to another tweet.
Francis does not yet hold an official position within the company. He does, however, have a profile and is a member of the company’s Slack channel.
Musk recently broke his silence regarding the layoffs at Twitter, saying he had “no choice” but to fire thousands of the company’s employees just days after purchasing it.
