A major legal case has emerged in Lahore after two foreign women accused several men of abduction, rape, and extortion. Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) naming five suspects, including Muhammad Raza Dar. Moreover, reports describe Raza Dar as a relative of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
Police Register FIR Against Five Suspects
According to the FIR, the case was registered at Defence C Police Station after complaints from two foreign nationals. One complainant is a Dutch citizen, while the other is from Venezuela.
The women alleged that the suspects abducted them before demanding a large ransom for their release. Additionally, they accused the suspects of sexual assault during the incident.
Muhammad Raza Dar has been named as the principal suspect in the FIR. However, police have not announced any arrests or confirmed the allegations at this stage.
Investigation Underway Into Serious Allegations
Police officials confirmed that investigators have launched a formal inquiry following the FIR’s registration. Authorities said they are examining the allegations from all relevant angles before taking further legal action.
Investigators are also reviewing available evidence and recording statements related to the case. Furthermore, officials stressed that the investigation remains ongoing and no final conclusions have been reached.
The case has attracted widespread public attention because of the alleged involvement of a relative of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. However, authorities have not released additional details about the suspects or the investigation.
Under Pakistani law, the registration of an FIR begins a criminal investigation and does not establish guilt. The allegations will be tested through the legal process as investigators continue gathering evidence.
