LAHORE: The Government of Punjab has opened registrations for the second cohort of the Chief Minister IT Internship Program, inviting applications from eligible graduates across the province. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by connecting young professionals with leading IT firms. The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 50,000 each.
According to officials, the program is designed to provide practical exposure and enhance workforce readiness in the technology sector. Selected candidates will undergo on-site training with IT companies, enabling them to gain hands-on experience and develop professional portfolios. As a result, participants are expected to improve their employability in a competitive job market.
Moreover, the internship will span five months, during which candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs50,000. However, the continuation of the stipend will depend on performance and the submission of a degree attested by the Higher Education Commission.
To be eligible, applicants must hold a degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline and must have graduated within the past four years. In addition, candidates are required to possess a valid Computerized National Identity Card and a domicile of Punjab.
Meanwhile, the government emphasized that the program reflects its commitment to promoting digital skills and empowering youth through meaningful employment opportunities. Officials believe that such initiatives will contribute to strengthening the provinceโs growing IT ecosystem.
Furthermore, interested candidates can submit their applications through the official portal, while dedicated helplines and email support have also been provided to facilitate applicants.
