LAHORE: The Punjab government has launched a new internship program for young agriculture graduates across the province. Each successful candidate will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 70,000 throughout the training period. The initiative will strengthen agricultural services while providing practical field experience to educated youth.
Moreover, the Agriculture Department introduced the Chief Minister Punjab Agriculture Internship Program 2026 under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. The program will select 1,500 agriculture graduates for paid internships.
Eligibility criteria and district quota
Applicants must hold a B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture degree to qualify for the internship program. In addition, candidates must not exceed 27 years of age on the application deadline. They must also possess a domicile from the relevant district. However, graduates who already benefited from previous internship schemes cannot apply. Furthermore, the government has distributed internship seats across districts, including Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Jhang, Bhakkar, Muzaffargarh, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Layyah, Khanewal, Vehari, Okara, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Attock.
Application process and deadline
Eligible candidates can download the application form from the Agriculture Department Punjab website. Alternatively, they may collect the form from the Deputy Director Agriculture Extension or Assistant Director Agriculture Extension office in their district. Applicants must attach educational certificates, a CNIC, domicile, and other required documents.
Finally, they must submit complete applications to the concerned Deputy Director Agriculture Extension office before July 30, 2026. Authorities advised candidates to apply early because incomplete or late submissions may face rejection.
