More than 1,350 Pakistani Hajj pilgrims landed safely at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah. Pakistanโs pre-Hajj flight operations began on Saturday. Officials welcomed the pilgrims warmly. They quickly transported them to accommodations near the Prophetโs Mosque.
Warm Welcome and Efficient Services
Pakistanโs Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq, Consul General Syed Mustafa Rabbani, and Director-General Hajj Abdul Wahab Soomro received the pilgrims at the airport. Authorities ensured a smooth transfer. Pilgrims were taken to the Markaziyah area near Al-Masjid an-Nabawi. The Pakistan Hajj Mission arranged housing for all 119,210 pilgrims under the government scheme this year.
The pilgrims appreciated the efficiency in the procedures involved. Accommodation had been provided for, and all rooms allocated beforehand. Checking in was easy and fast. Pilgrims were provided with their Nusuk cards right away. With this card, they could enter into the holy places.
Spiritual Journey Takes Off
After completing their accommodation, the pilgrims proceeded to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi where they paid homage to the tomb of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
The transition from travel to prayers has brought much peace and happiness. Many more planes will land tomorrow. The activities under the pre-Hajj operations will go on until the arrival of the Hajj period. Many other pilgrims are expected.
The Government of Pakistan and the Saudi Government have coordinated in providing the best facilities to the pilgrims. This will make the pilgrimage season of great success.
