ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s armed forces have rejected India’s portrayal of Operation Sindoor as a military success, accusing New Delhi of distorting the conflict’s outcome.
In a statement on Monday, the Inter-Services Public Relations said India was avoiding what it called the reality of its failed military venture.
ISPR said Indian content creators produced a highly dramatised and factually inaccurate documentary featuring senior political and military leaders.
According to ISPR, the documentary uses selective interviews, emotional narration and cinematic reconstructions to reshape established facts.
Moreover, the military’s media wing said the documentary contained fundamental contradictions about the timeline and outcome of the conflict.
ISPR criticised claims linking a speech by Pakistan’s army chief on April 16, 2025, with the Pahalgam incident six days later.
It questioned India’s claim that Pahalgam attackers were eliminated on July 28, 2025, weeks after Operation Sindoor.
“If the alleged perpetrators were eliminated on July 28, India must explain who it claims to have punished on May 7,” ISPR said.
Pakistan also rejected India’s claim of complete mission success, saying its forces shot down eight Indian military aircraft during Marka-e-Haq.
Furthermore, ISPR said Pakistan launched Operation Bunyanum Marsoos against 26 military targets using missiles, precision weapons and drones.
The military also highlighted Indian admissions regarding Pakistani missile and drone activity during the confrontation.
Finally, ISPR said hostilities ended through communication between both countries’ directors general of military operations, contradicting claims of unilateral Indian victory.
