Emergency Operation Launched After Distress Call
Pakistan Navy, in coordination with the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency, successfully rescued all 20 Pakistani crew members from a sinking cargo dhow near Ormara.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the cargo vessel was operating east of Ormara when it began experiencing severe flooding.
A distress call was received by the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre. Soon after, Pakistan Navy diverted PNS HUNAIN and necessary aerial assets to carry out the rescue operation.
All Crew Members Safely Recovered
The ISPR said all 20 crew members were safely rescued from the distressed vessel.
The rescue was completed through a swift and coordinated response by Pakistan Navy and PMSA teams.
The militaryโs media wing said the operation reflected professionalism, preparedness and effective coordination among maritime rescue units.
All rescued crew members are now being provided necessary medical attention.
