ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s online registration campaign for Hajj 2027 continues to attract strong participation, with more than 308,000 intending pilgrims completing the process through digital platforms. The Ministry of Religious Affairs said the response reflects growing public confidence in the country’s online Hajj registration system.
According to the ministry, 222,000 applicants have registered under the government Hajj scheme, while another 86,000 have opted for the private Hajj scheme. Officials said the registration process remains open through the Hajj Portal and the “Pak Hajj” mobile application.
Government Scheme Draws Majority of Applicants
The Ministry of Religious Affairs reported that 181,000 registered applicants are men, while 127,000 are women. Officials noted that the government scheme continues to receive the largest share of registrations, reflecting its popularity among intending pilgrims.
The ministry also released details about the educational background of the applicants. According to the figures, the registrations include approximately 3,500 PhD holders, 53,000 people with Master’s degrees, and 71,000 Bachelor’s degree holders. The remaining applicants come from various educational backgrounds across the country.
Age-wise data showed that the highest number of registrations came from people between 33 and 44 years of age. Around 119,000 applicants belong to this category, while nearly 40,000 registered pilgrims are over the age of 61.
Digital Platforms Simplify Registration
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs said the government is considering introducing an online Hajj fee payment system during the next phase of the registration process. The proposed facility is expected to make the overall application process more convenient for intending pilgrims.
The spokesperson added that the Hajj Management System, developed by the National IT Board, has become an effective platform for communication between the ministry and registered applicants. Officials said the system has improved efficiency while reducing the need for in-person visits.
Furthermore, the ministry stated that the Hajj Portal and the “Pak Hajj” mobile application have made registration simple, transparent, and accessible for applicants across Pakistan. The initiative also supports the government’s broader Digital Pakistan vision by expanding the use of online public services.
The online registration campaign for Hajj 2027โ2030 remains open, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs has encouraged intending pilgrims to complete their applications through the official digital platforms.
