The International Cricket Council has released its latest One-Day International (ODI) and Test rankings, showing mixed results for Pakistanโs players across batting, bowling, and all-rounder categories, according to a report by a Private Channel on Wednesday.
In the ODI batting rankings, Babar Azam retained his sixth position and remained Pakistanโs highest-ranked batter in the format. Meanwhile, Salman Ali Agha dropped five places to 14th in the latest update.
Pakistanโs bowlers recorded notable gains in the ODI rankings. Shaheen Shah Afridi climbed four spots to 13th among bowlers and also improved to 23rd in the ODI all-roundersโ list. Abrar Ahmed continued his upward trend, rising to fourth place in the ODI bowling rankings while jumping 18 places to reach 44th among ODI all-rounders.
In Test cricket, no Pakistani batter currently features among the top 10. However, Mohammad Rizwan moved up one position to 20th, while Babar Azam climbed to 21st in the Test batting rankings. Among Test bowlers, Noman Ali retained his seventh position.
At the global level, New Zealandโs Daryl Mitchell maintained the top spot in ODI batting. Afghanistanโs Rashid Khan continued to lead the ODI bowling rankings, while Azmatullah Omarzai remained number one among ODI all-rounders.
In the Test rankings, Englandโs Joe Root stayed at the top of the batting list. Indiaโs Jasprit Bumrah retained his position as the leading Test bowler, while Ravindra Jadeja continued to dominate the Test all-roundersโ standings.
