Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran on Sunday to discuss matters of mutual interest and strengthen bilateral cooperation between the neighbouring countries.
According to Iranian media reports, both sides reviewed regional developments and explored ways to expand collaboration in several key sectors. They also reaffirmed the importance of maintaining close coordination on issues affecting regional stability.

Message From Pakistan’s Military Leadership
According to an informed source, Naqvi carried an important message from Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, for Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei. The source said the interior minister was entrusted with delivering the message during his visit.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Press TV reported that Naqvi was received by Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni upon his arrival in Tehran.
Sources further stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif provided special instructions to Naqvi regarding discussions linked to ongoing Iran-US talks. Officials said Islamabad remains closely focused on diplomatic developments that could influence regional peace and security.
