Police have registered a case against a man accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old ninth-grade student at gunpoint in Kabirwala, Khanewal.
The accused, identified as Arif Abbas, son of Muhammad Yousuf, works as a naib qasid at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kabirwala. According to the complaint, his daughter and the girl attended the same school and often travelled together.
The girl alleged that Abbas waited outside the school on a motorcycle after classes ended. He reportedly offered to drop her home but instead took her to his house, claiming he needed to complete a brief task.
Alleged assault reported at residence
According to the complaint, nobody else was present at the house when the accused allegedly assaulted the girl at gunpoint. The girl’s cries reportedly alerted nearby residents, who reached the location while the accused fled.
Police later arrived after receiving a call through emergency helpline 15. Subsequently, officials registered a case against the accused and began investigating the allegations.
Family seeks action against accused
Meanwhile, the girl’s family said her mother has a disability while her father is elderly. They appealed to senior authorities to ensure a transparent investigation and take action according to the law.
The family also urged police to arrest the accused and ensure justice for the minor. Authorities are expected to investigate the allegations and gather evidence as part of the case.
