Comsats released a press statement stating that a recent social media trend was related to an issue with an exam that was conducted on January 5, 2023.

Academic integrity has been a long-standing priority for the university.

The university adhered to standard norms and regulations by terminating the lecturer’s employment and barring him from future work at CUI.

The university confirmed that it recruited a visiting professor to teach two courses during the autumn semester of 2022 for a temporary period.

On January 5, the head of the humanities department at CUI’s Islamabad Campus raised an issue regarding a question that contained unethical content in the English language comprehension and writing quiz.

Upon discovering that the quiz content was highly inappropriate and immoral, the CUI rector convened a meeting on the same day and chaired it, as stated in the press release.

According to the press release, faculty members usually submit mid-term and final exams in sealed envelopes to the department chair.

Faculty members conduct quizzes, whether announced or unannounced, during scheduled classes without any external moderation.

The press release mentioned that the visiting faculty member administered the quiz solely, which was consistent with the standard practice.

“This” clarifies the fact that the visiting faculty solely made the quiz.
