New York Erases 29-Point Deficit at Madison Square Garden
The New York Knicks produced one of the most dramatic wins in NBA Finals history, defeating the San Antonio Spurs 107-106 in Game 4 at Madison Square Garden.
The victory gave the Knicks a 3-1 lead in the series and moved them within one win of their first NBA championship since 1973.
San Antonio looked in full control for most of the night. The Spurs built a massive 29-point lead and appeared ready to level the series.
But the Knicks refused to fade. They fought back with defensive pressure, quick scoring and strong late-game execution.
The comeback is now being described as the largest in NBA Finals history. It turned Game 4 into one of the most memorable nights in New York basketball.
Spurs Collapse After Dominant First Half
The Spurs started the game with exceptional rhythm. They scored 76 points in the first half and put the Knicks under huge pressure.
Victor Wembanyama helped San Antonio dominate early with scoring, rebounding and rim protection.
However, the second half was completely different. The Spurs lost their offensive flow and struggled against New Yorkโs pressure.
San Antonio scored only 30 points after halftime. That sharp drop opened the door for the Knicks to return.
The Knicks slowly reduced the gap and made the crowd believe again. Their fourth-quarter run changed the mood inside Madison Square Garden.
The Spurs had chances to close the game, but late mistakes proved costly. Missed opportunities and poor decisions allowed New York to complete the comeback.
Brunson and Anunoby Deliver Historic Finish
Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 36 points, seven assists and five rebounds. He stayed calm under pressure and controlled the game during the comeback.
Brunsonโs scoring gave New York the belief it needed when the deficit looked impossible.
OG Anunoby also delivered a career-defining performance. He scored 33 points and became the hero of the night.
With just 1.2 seconds left, Anunoby tipped in a missed Brunson three-pointer to give the Knicks the lead.
The basket completed the historic comeback and sent Madison Square Garden into celebration.
Brunson and Anunoby also became the first Knicks duo to score at least 30 points each in the same NBA Finals game.
Anunobyโs late tip-in will be remembered as one of the biggest plays in Knicks history.
The Finals now move to San Antonio for Game 5 on June 13, 2026. The Spurs must win to keep the series alive.
The Knicks, meanwhile, are one victory away from ending a championship drought that has lasted more than five decades.
