Karachi police arrested the wife of slain doctor Sarang Memon after investigators linked her to the murder through technical evidence and ongoing inquiries, officials confirmed on Sunday.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), Dr Sarang Memon and his wife, Romina, were returning home in a rickshaw when a white vehicle intercepted them near the Mehran Hotel underpass on Sharea Faisal.
Police stated that a suspect dressed in shalwar kameez stepped out of the car, pulled the doctor from the rickshaw at gunpoint, and opened fire before fleeing the scene.
Furthermore, the FIR revealed that the attackers shot Dr Memon multiple times. He suffered three bullet wounds and later died from his injuries.
The shocking killing triggered a major investigation because of the doctor’s professional background and the circumstances surrounding the attack.
