Bezos Shares Optimistic View on AI
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has said artificial intelligence will create labour shortages instead of making humans redundant. He made the remarks during an appearance at the VivaTech technology conference in Paris.
Bezos said many people are worried that AI could replace human workers. However, he said he strongly disagrees with that view. According to him, AI will reduce barriers and create more opportunities for people.
Poll Shows Americans Fear Job Losses
His remarks come as concerns over AI continue to rise. A Reuters/Ipsos poll found that around half of Americans fear AI could affect jobs in their household.
Bezos argued that humans have endless work to do. He said AI will help people complete more tasks by removing limits that currently slow progress.
He also spoke about his new AI startup Prometheus. The company is focused on speeding up physical manufacturing.
Blue Origin and Space Plans Highlighted
Bezos also discussed Blue Origin and his wider vision for space exploration. He said one goal is to move polluting industries away from Earth.
He added that cheaper and more reliable space travel could help protect the planet. Blue Origin CEO David Limp also confirmed that work has started to rebuild the companyโs launch pad in Florida after an explosion in May.
The remarks come as major technology leaders continue to link AI, manufacturing, and space development with the future of global industry.
