The Sindh School Education Department has uncovered the alleged recruitment of six fake secondary schoolteachers in Grade 16. The department has now declared the appointments fraudulent and initiated action against the individuals involved.
The case surfaced after authorities found irregularities in the recruitment records. Officials also discovered that fake personal identification details and offer orders had been created for the alleged recruits.
Fake Teacher IDs and Offer Orders Detected
According to the School Education Department, personal IDs were issued to the six individuals despite their recruitments being fake.
The department’s IT section also reportedly placed barcodes on the fraudulent offer orders. Officials later discovered that fake IDs had been generated alongside the barcodes.
The findings prompted the department to investigate the appointments. Following the review, authorities officially declared the recruitment of all six teachers fake.
The case raises concerns about weaknesses in the recruitment and verification process. It also highlights the need for stronger checks before government appointments receive official documentation.
Six Teachers Recruited in Mirpurkhas Division
The alleged fake appointments were made in Mirpurkhas Division, which is the residential division of Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah.
The department has identified six individuals in connection with the alleged fraudulent recruitment. They are:
- Fahad Ali
- Anil Kumar
- Shah Rukh Khan
- Zahid Ali
- Arshad Ali
- Abida Parveen
The department is now taking steps to prevent further financial loss from the appointments.
Education Department Seeks Salary Recovery
The School Education Department has sent a letter to the Accountant General Sindh regarding the matter.
The letter was issued under the signature of the Section Officer Secondary III. It recommends stopping salary payments to the individuals identified as fake teachers.
Officials have also directed authorities to recover any salaries already received by the alleged fake recruits.
The move aims to prevent further payments from public funds. It also seeks the recovery of money that may have already been disbursed through the fraudulent appointments.
Investigation Highlights Recruitment Concerns
The discovery of fake IDs and barcoded offer orders has raised questions about how the appointments passed through the relevant administrative processes.
The case also highlights the importance of verifying recruitment documents before issuing official identification and salary records.
Authorities will now need to determine how the alleged fraudulent documents were generated and processed. They may also need to identify any individuals who facilitated or approved the appointments.
Further action could follow once officials complete their investigation. Meanwhile, the department’s decision to stop salaries and seek recovery signals a move to address the alleged irregularities.
The case has brought renewed attention to recruitment oversight within the Sindh School Education Department. Stronger verification measures could help prevent similar incidents involving government appointments in the future.
