ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop a 1,600-kanal residential project in Charsadda for federal government employees.
The proposed housing scheme will be located approximately six kilometres from the Charsadda Interchange on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway and about 15 minutes from Peshawar. The project will have direct connectivity with Charsadda-Nowshera Road and will be situated next to KPHA Mega City in Nowshera.
FGEHA will undertake the development under a Land Sharing Model in line with the FGEHA (JV & PPP) Rules, 2025. The initiative will involve private-sector participation and is expected to provide residential facilities to around 700 to 800 registered members of the authority.
FGEHA Director General Zafar Iqbal said the authority was pursuing housing schemes through Public-Private Partnership and Land Sharing Models to offer quality and reasonably priced residential facilities to federal employees.
He added that efforts were also underway to complete existing housing schemes and ensure that plot allottees receive possession according to the announced schedules.
Under its development plans, FGEHA has set July 2027 as the deadline for handing over possession of plots in Margalla Orchard, Block-A.
The authority also intends to deliver possession of plots in Sectors F-14 and F-15 in phases. Meanwhile, possession in Sky Garden Blocks-A, B and D is scheduled to be completed by December 31, 2026.
