Hundreds of mourners gathered on Monday to bid farewell to Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler at her funeral in South Wales.
Fans sang along to her famous hit โItโs a Heartacheโ as pallbearers carried her coffin into Swansea Minster.
Tyler, known for her distinctive husky voice, died in Portugal last month at the age of 75.
More than 1,000 people gathered outside the church before the service, which organisers also live-streamed.
## Fans Remember a Welsh Icon
A hearse carrying Tylerโs white coffin arrived to applause. White roses and lilies covered the coffin, which also featured musical symbols.
โItโs a Heartacheโ and โIf I Sing You A Love Songโ played as mourners entered the packed church.
Meanwhile, a male voice choir performed Simon and Garfunkelโs โBridge Over Troubled Water.โ
Local residents described Tyler as a Welsh icon and praised her warm personality.
Her longtime tour manager, Matt Davis, remembered a performer who could command any stage and lived a full life.
A Lasting Musical Legacy
Born Gaynor Hopkins, Tyler grew up near Swansea in a traditional coal-mining community.
She achieved international success with โLost in France,โ โItโs a Heartache,โ and โTotal Eclipse of the Heart.โ
Moreover, โHolding Out for a Heroโ became another major hit in 1984.
A male voice choir performed a slow version of โTotal Eclipseโ as the funeral ended.
Tyler had planned a European tour before falling seriously ill.
Her death has prompted tributes across Wales and beyond, celebrating a career that spanned five decades.
