The actor’s team has officially addressed the long-running speculation that Prabhas and Kriti Sanon are engaged in the Maldives.
One of Prabhas’ close friends responded to the report by telling ETimes that they are just friends.
Associate stated:
“Prabhas and Kriti are just friends. The news about them getting engaged is not true.”
When the film Bheidya was promoted, rumours about Kriti and Prabhas’ relation began to surface.
Kriti accompanied Varun Dhawan on Jhalak Dikhla Ja to promote her film.
Varun made a provocative remark about the Adipursh couple dating while on the show with Karan Johar.
He said:
“Kriti ka naam isiliye nahi tha kyunki Kriti ka naam kisi ke dil me hai.
Ek aadmi hai jo Mumbai me nahi hai, vo iss waqt shooting kar raha hai Deepika Padukone ke saath.”
According to NDTV, Kriti Sanon also clarified the matter in an Instagram post.
She stated:
“Rumours are absolutely baseless. Its neither Pyaar, nor PR. Our Bhediya just went a little too wild on a reality show. And his fun banter lead to some Howl-arious rumours. Before some portal announces my wedding date-let me burst your bubble. The rumours are absolutely baseless. “
