Emirates has added another major milestone to its global recognition by securing three top honours at the 2026 Business Traveller Middle East Awards.
The airline received the most prestigious title of the event, Best Airline Worldwide. In addition, it also earned Best First Class and Best Airport Lounge in the Middle East for its First Class Lounge at Dubai International Airport.
These awards highlight Emirates’ continued focus on delivering premium experiences across both air travel and airport services.
Emirates Secures Top Recognition Across Multiple Categories
The Business Traveller Middle East Awards remain among the region’s most established travel industry recognitions.
The awards celebrate performance across the business travel sector. Winners are selected through reader nominations and public voting.
Emirates accepted the awards through its Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim.
The latest recognition reflects the airline’s continued investment in customer experience and service standards.
As competition in global aviation grows stronger, Emirates continues to position itself among the industry’s leading premium carriers.
Fleet Modernisation Continues Across Global Network
Alongside service improvements, Emirates continues to invest heavily in aircraft upgrades.
Currently, 219 Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft are undergoing extensive refurbishment.
At the same time, the airline is expanding the introduction of its newer Airbus A350 fleet.
These aircraft bring updated cabin products and modern onboard technologies.
As a result, travellers across more routes receive a more consistent experience.
The upgraded aircraft and Airbus A350 fleet now operate across more than 70 destinations within Emirates’ global network.
Overall, the airline serves nearly 140 destinations worldwide.
Emirates First Class Remains a Key Attraction
Emirates’ First Class product continues to remain one of the strongest drivers of its premium reputation.
Passengers receive enclosed private suites designed to maximise comfort and privacy.
The experience also includes dine-on-demand service with regionally inspired cuisine.
Additionally, travellers receive unlimited caviar service paired with Dom Pérignon champagne.
Luxury amenities further enhance the journey.
These include premium loungewear, Bulgari amenity kits, skincare products from Byredo, and exclusive onboard facilities.
On selected Airbus A380 aircraft, passengers can also access the Shower Spa and the Onboard Lounge.
Meanwhile, premium travellers benefit from chauffeur-drive services across nearly 90 destinations.
Priority airport services and access to Emirates lounges in more than 30 global destinations remain additional advantages.
Dubai Lounge Experience Continues to Stand Out
Emirates’ First Class Lounge at Dubai International Airport received recognition as the Best Airport Lounge in the Middle East.
The airline currently operates three First Class lounges at the airport.
These facilities offer several premium services designed for high-end travellers.
Guests can enjoy à la carte dining and complimentary spa treatments.
Furthermore, the lounges include premium duty-free shopping and carefully selected wine options.
Some gates also provide direct boarding access for additional convenience.
Consequently, the airport experience extends the airline’s luxury positioning beyond the aircraft cabin.
Technology and Expansion Shape Emirates’ Future Plans
Emirates continues to expand beyond traditional premium offerings.
Recently, the airline introduced Starlink connectivity onboard selected aircraft.
Once fully deployed, Emirates aims to operate the world’s largest Starlink-enabled international wide-body fleet.
So far, 36 aircraft have received the technology upgrade.
This allows passengers to stream content, browse social platforms, work, play games, and stay connected throughout their flights.
Additionally, Emirates introduced Comprehensive Travel Cover insurance to offer extra travel protection.
Looking ahead, the airline also plans to launch daily flights to Helsinki in October.
This route will become the only year-round direct air connection between Finland and the UAE.
Emirates Strengthens Its Position in Premium Global Travel
The latest awards reinforce Emirates’ standing in international aviation.
Through fleet upgrades, premium services, technology investments, and network expansion, the airline continues to strengthen its global appeal.
As travel expectations evolve, Emirates appears focused on maintaining leadership through experience, innovation, and consistency.
