Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level review meeting to finalize arrangements for the upcoming Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Conference on Women. Consequently, the session evaluated critical preparations. These tasks included the draft program, official agenda, security protocols, media strategies, and logistical frameworks. Furthermore, representatives from the Ministry of Human Rights detailed their progress regarding inter-ministerial coordination. They highlighted organizational matters to ensure the successful execution of the event.
Meanwhile, the steering committee focused extensively on measures that guarantee the seamless conduct of the international conference. This landmark event will gather delegates from the 57 OIC member states. Therefore, they can strengthen global cooperation on women’s empowerment, social inclusion, and sustainable development goals. Additionally, Dar commended the human rights ministry for its steady progress. He directed all stakeholders to maintain tight coordination to complete the remaining tasks on schedule.
Subsequently, several top government officials attended the strategic session to align their respective departmental responsibilities. The participant list included Federal Minister for Law Azam Nazeer Tarar and Federal Minister for IT Shaza Fatima. Moreover, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa joined the session. Finally, Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch and Secretary Human Rights Abdul Khaliq Shaikh reviewed the operational blueprints.
