Wildlife Rangers Launch Emergency Operation
Wildlife rangers rescued a crocodile from Massan Kallar near Kot Abdul Malik in Ferozewala tehsil.
The animal was discovered in an area affected by recent flooding. Reports about its presence first appeared on social media.
Central Zone Additional Chief Wildlife Ranger Mudassir Hassan ordered immediate monitoring of the location.
Lahore Deputy Chief Wildlife Ranger Sakhi Muhammad Joiya supervised the rescue operation.
Crocodile Safely Shifted to Faisalabad
Wildlife teams continuously searched the flood-hit area. Rangers later traced and captured the crocodile safely.
Officials believe floodwaters may have carried the animal into the residential area.
The crocodile was transported to the Gatwala Wildlife Breeding Centre in Faisalabad. It will receive a medical examination and specialised care.
Residents Warned Against Handling Wild Animals
Local residents expressed relief after the successful rescue. They also praised the wildlife department for its timely response.
Officials advised citizens to immediately report dangerous wild animals by calling the wildlife helpline at 1107.
The public was strongly warned against approaching, capturing or handling wild animals without professional assistance.
