Pakistani Star Wins Tekken 8 Final in Las Vegas
Pakistanโs esports icon Arslan โArslan Ashโ Siddique has added another major title to his legendary career after winning the Tekken 8 tournament at Evo 2026 in Las Vegas.
The victory marked the eighth Evo title of his career, further strengthening his status as one of the greatest Tekken players in the world.
Arslan defeated South Koreaโs Rangchu in the grand final to claim first place in a highly competitive tournament. The event featured 1,355 players from around the world, making the win even more significant.
With this victory, Arslan earned $28,000 in prize money, which is equal to nearly Rs. 7.8 million. He also secured 800 Tekken World Tour points and qualified for the TWT Finals 2026.
Arslan represented Twisted Minds during the tournament. He used Nina and Kunimitsu throughout the competition and delivered a controlled performance against some of the strongest international players.
Defensive Strategy Helps Arslan Control Grand Final
In the grand final, Arslan showed patience, discipline and strong defensive awareness. He carefully adjusted to Rangchuโs pressure and managed the wall positioning with confidence.
Rangchu tried to create openings through aggressive attacks, but Arslan repeatedly read his patterns. His timing, spacing and defensive decisions helped him control key moments of the match.
Arslan did not rely only on attack. Instead, he slowed down the pace when needed and punished mistakes with precision. This strategy allowed him to close out the set and secure another historic international title for Pakistan.

Qasim Meer Gives Pakistan Another Top-Six Finish
Pakistan had another major achievement at Evo 2026 as Qasim Meer finished sixth in the Tekken 8 tournament.
Meer represented The Vicious and used Zafina and Azucena during the event. His strong performance earned him $4,200, which is equal to around Rs. 1.1 million.
He also received 220 points and secured qualification for the Esports World Cup 2026.
This means Pakistan had two players in the top six of one of the biggest Tekken tournaments in the world. Arslan finished first, while Qasim Meer finished sixth.
South Korean players also dominated the upper standings. Rangchu finished second, LowHigh took third place, and JeonDDing secured fourth position. Meo-IL finished fifth.
