Iran Urges Media to Avoid Speculation as Negotiations Continue
TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Friday that efforts to finalize an โIslamabad Memorandum of Understandingโ aimed at addressing the ongoing U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran have made significant progress and are closer to completion than ever before.
However, Araqchi urged media organizations and political commentators to refrain from speculating about the contents of the proposed agreement until negotiations are officially concluded.
Speaking amid growing international attention on diplomatic efforts, the Iranian foreign minister emphasized that discussions remain ongoing and that no final decision has yet been announced.
His remarks came as reports continued to circulate regarding a possible agreement that could help reduce tensions and establish a framework for broader negotiations involving regional security and other outstanding issues.
Tehran Maintains Cautious Approach to Ongoing Talks
Araqchi stressed that Iran remains committed to a responsible and transparent diplomatic process. He noted that premature reports and unverified claims could create confusion and undermine ongoing efforts to reach a mutually acceptable understanding.
According to the foreign minister, Iranian authorities will release complete details of any finalized agreement through official channels once negotiations are concluded.
He reiterated that Tehran intends to keep the public informed and will provide comprehensive information when appropriate.
Meanwhile, international observers continue to monitor developments closely as diplomatic contacts intensify.
No Final Agreement Announced Yet
Although optimism has increased regarding the possibility of an agreement, Iranian officials maintain that discussions have not yet reached their final stage.
Reports from various international sources have suggested that negotiators are working to resolve remaining issues before any formal signing ceremony takes place. Nevertheless, Tehran has repeatedly emphasized that no definitive agreement has been concluded.
Araqchiโs comments also came amid reports that international stakeholders remain engaged in efforts to secure a broader framework capable of reducing regional tensions and preventing further escalation.
The foreign minister underscored that Iranโs approach remains focused on diplomacy and transparency, adding that the government will communicate all relevant developments directly to the public once negotiations are completed.
For now, officials say discussions continue, while attention remains focused on whether the proposed Islamabad Memorandum can evolve into a finalized agreement in the coming days.
