Karachi is expected to receive light rain and drizzle over the next three days as weather conditions continue to change across the region. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moisture-laden winds from the Arabian Sea are influencing the city’s weather and could bring intermittent rainfall through Wednesday.
In addition to light rain, residents should also prepare for stronger-than-usual winds during the same period. The forecast suggests that the changing weather may provide some relief from the prevailing humid conditions.
Light Rain and Drizzle Expected
The PMD’s Early Warning Centre has forecast light rain and drizzle in Karachi from Monday to Wednesday.
Meanwhile, moisture from the Arabian Sea continues to affect the city’s weather pattern. As a result, cloudy skies and occasional showers are likely over the coming days.
Furthermore, the Met Office expects stronger-than-normal winds to continue throughout the three-day period.
Temperature and Humidity Forecast
According to the weather outlook, Karachi’s minimum temperature is expected to remain between 28ยฐC and 30ยฐC.
Daytime temperatures are likely to range from 33ยฐC to 35ยฐC, keeping weather conditions warm despite the expected rainfall.
The PMD also said morning humidity levels will remain between 70 percent and 80 percent. However, humidity is expected to decrease to 55 percent to 65 percent during the evening.
Weather Systems Affecting Pakistan
The Meteorological Department said moist currents from the Arabian Sea are currently influencing the upper and central parts of Pakistan.
At the same time, a westerly weather system continues to affect the country’s northern regions. Together, these weather systems are contributing to changing conditions in several provinces.
Rain Likely in Several Sindh Districts
Across Sindh, hot and humid weather is expected to continue. However, several districts may experience dust storms, thunderstorms and rainfall.
The affected areas include Dadu, Qambar Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, Larkana, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Sanghar.
Meanwhile, coastal areas of Sindh, including Karachi, are expected to remain partly cloudy.
Strong Winds to Continue
The PMD has also forecast occasional strong winds along Sindh’s coastal belt during the three-day period.
Moreover, isolated spells of light rain or drizzle may occur in Karachi as moist sea winds continue to influence the city’s weather.
Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and exercise caution during periods of strong winds and reduced visibility.
