She followed the traditional broadcasting style of seeking permission before signing off. Ishrat Fatima told the social media fans, โToday, I am saying goodbye to my 45-year association with Radio Pakistan,โ marking a historic moment for listeners who grew up with her voice.
Addressing her audience with gratitude, she thanked both Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television for shaping her journey. She said that the respect and affection she received over more than four decades defined her professional life.

She added that reaching peopleโs homes and hearts remained her greatest achievement, which she attributed to the prayers of her parents and the grace of Allah.
