Pakistani television host and Pakistan Awam Raj Tehreek leader Iqrar-ul-Hassan was allegedly taken into custody from his residence in Lahore’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) early Monday, October 12, 2026.
His family says a group of men arrived at the house during the night and took him away. However, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has not officially confirmed his arrest, and the reason for his reported detention remains unclear.
Wife Describes Late-Night Raid
Iqrar-ul-Hassan’s wife, Farah Iqrar, said the family was asleep when they heard loud voices outside their home. According to her, the men demanded that Iqrar come outside and threatened to damage the property.
Farah alleged that the group entered the house by climbing over the boundary wall. She claimed that the men pushed her before taking her husband away.
She also alleged that the individuals seized mobile phones and a laptop from the residence. The family’s CCTV cameras were reportedly removed, while her phone was allegedly taken when she tried to record the incident.
Family Unable to Confirm His Whereabouts
Following the reported detention, family members contacted the NCCIA to find out where Iqrar was being held. However, they said they received no clear information about his whereabouts or the circumstances surrounding the operation.
