Security forces have thwarted an alleged militant attack targeting the Tump Deputy Commissioner’s security team in Balochistan’s Makran Division.
According to security sources, troops responded quickly after militants targeted the deputy commissioner’s vehicle and attempted to abduct members of his protection squad.
Security Forces Rescue Protection Squad
The militants reportedly targeted the security team while it was providing protection to the Tump deputy commissioner.
Security personnel immediately responded and reached the site after the attack began. Their swift action prevented the alleged abduction attempt.
All members of the deputy commissioner’s security squad remained safe and unharmed, according to security sources.
The militants fled the area after security forces arrived and intensified their response.
Militants Abandon Vehicle and Weapons
The fleeing attackers reportedly left behind their vehicle and weapons at the scene.
Security sources also said that several militants may have suffered injuries during the exchange.
Authorities have described the attackers as members of Fitna al-Hindustan, which officials use to refer to militants they accuse of operating as Indian proxies.
The incident highlights the security challenges faced by government officials and security personnel in Balochistan, where militant groups have repeatedly targeted state institutions and personnel.
Security forces continue to assess the incident and investigate the attackers’ movements following the failed assault.
