Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez Overhaul their Security After Threats in Saudi Arabia

Ronaldo had been enjoying a quiet life since his high-profile move to Al-Nassr in 2023, the recent threats have caused the family to reassess their safety measures.

Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, have reportedly revamped their personal security arrangements in Saudi Arabia after receiving alarming threats on social media. The couple has replaced their chief bodyguard and dismissed previous staff in response to the disturbing messages aimed at them.

The Portuguese football star, currently residing in Riyadh with Rodriguez and their five children, has taken these threats seriously, prompting police involvement and an increase in security around the family.

According to the New Straits Times, while Ronaldo had been enjoying a quiet life since his high-profile move to Al-Nassr in 2023, the recent threats have caused the family to reassess their safety measures.

As part of their new approach, Rodriguez is reportedly limiting their children’s exposure on social media, having previously shared family moments online. This shift reflects their desire to maintain greater privacy in light of the ongoing threats.

The couple’s new head of security, Claudio Miguel Vaz, comes with extensive experience in high-risk protection, including safeguarding musicians in Portugal’s more dangerous areas. Vaz, who has worked with prominent Portuguese football players like Rafael Leao and Gelson Martins, brings military-style training and a social media following of over 12,000.

However, his confrontational style has raised concerns, with sources close to Ronaldo expressing discomfort with Vaz’s “intimidating” approach, which contrasts with the footballer’s usually composed public image.

The criticism intensified after an incident at Paris Fashion Week, where Vaz was seen using a high-powered flashlight to block photographers from capturing Rodriguez as she exited her car, sparking backlash on social media.
