Islamabad United add Kyle Mayers as overseas replacement
In the latest disciplinary actions during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan and Islamabad United’s Colin Munro have each been fined 30 per cent of their match fees for breaching the tournament’s code of conduct.
The penalties were issued following separate incidents involving the two players during recent PSL fixtures. Details of the violations were not disclosed, but the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed both players accepted the sanctions handed down by the match officials.
Meanwhile, Karachi Kings’ Amir Jamal has been fined 5 per cent of his match fee after being found guilty of using inappropriate language directed at a Peshawar Zalmi player. The incident was deemed a level 1 offence under the PSL code of conduct.
Islamabad United Bolster Squad with Kyle Mayers
In team news, Islamabad United has made a key addition to its squad by signing West Indies all-rounder Kyle Mayers as a replacement for two departing overseas players.
Mayers joins the squad in place of Rassie van der Dussen and Matt Short, both of whom have withdrawn from the tournament. According to the franchise, Van der Dussen exited the competition due to personal reasons, while Short also became unavailable for the remainder of PSL 10.
Mayers’ inclusion is expected to strengthen United’s middle order and offer added versatility as the team heads into the crucial stages of the tournament.
